Web3 is a meritocracy.
Here is how to win.
Web3 is a meritocracy.
How to win in a meritocracy? Its simple.
I've built an eight-figure company with no cold email, paid ads, or outreach.
Every industry should be like Web3, yet most have been corrupted to favor the top 1% of pre-existing companies and require new market entrants to inject massive amounts of capital to get started. ie: college, regulatory approvals, degrees, accolades what have you.
Web3 is refreshing. It's a PvP marketplace that has no regard for a degree or time in the ecosystem (it has only been mainstream for less than 7 years) and is the most transparent display of value one can bring to the table.
The transparency of the blockchain means that actual value providers can be rewarded in a much shorter amount of time, to a greater extent, and with much less headache. Moreover, Web3 eliminates the corporate jargon that has plagued progress in the Web2 world.
Want to make money in Web3? Provide value.
Want to build a good network? Provide value.
Want to scale a Web3 company? Provide value.
Web3 is the only place that rewards true talent, skill, and intellect pro rata without any regard for Web2 variables.
Providing value in the current stage of Web3 will compound at a grandiose rate, we are in a new technical revolution and planting the seeds will mean unprecedented returns when its time to sow.
Web3 has no rule book, so how do you win ? It's Darwinism, survival of the fittest. Adapting, navigating, and constant iteration is required to win. There is no day-to-day schedule, and there sure isnt a guaranteed route to success.
Rather you have to embrace the ethos of Web3 in order to be successful. This means that understanding applying Web2 tactics is irrelevant, the same way to measure progress doesn't work. Web3 requires an intimate understanding of market forces, community, sentiment, narrative and logistics that can ONLY be gained by experience.
We went nearly 6 months without making a dime, but because we showcased to the market that we weren't the same transactional firm, that simply cared about profits, we succeeded. Not overnight, but constant calls, and network effects inevitably allowed the sentiment to spread that Arcadia was so much more than just an "agency" we were artists who could innovate to a degree that only we could do.
So to some it up, what worked for us.
1. Being unique: We sold storytelling, we sold narrative building, we DIDNT sell influencers posts.
2. Provide Value: Before we asked for a dime, we showcased our worth.
3. Build Network: Arcadia has always prioritized our inner circle, we love our friend, and always reciprocate our blessings onto them.
